Tokyo Sea Life Park Guide – Visit with The Tokyo Pass

kasai1200

A public aquarium located at Kasai Rinkai Park, the Tokyo Sea Life Park is one of the biggest cultural facilities in the capital and is home to 600-plus species of marine life. Its symbol is the large 30.7-meter-high Glass Dome, but that’s just one of many areas and habitats found throughout the aquarium.

Highlights of Tokyo Sea Life Park include the Coral Reef Seas exhibit, the Aqua Theater, where bluefin tuna swim in a massive tank that holds 2,200t of water, and Seas of the World, where visitors can enjoy reproductions of global marine environments. The park also offers the Penguin Habitat, one of the largest penguin exhibit in the country, as well as the Seabird Habitat.

Be sure to check out The Kelp Forest, the largest seaweed habitat in the world, or The Sea of Tokyo area, which showcases a variety of environments from the Ogasawara Islands, the outer part of Tokyo Bay, and beyond. Visitors who like to stroll will enjoy the Life on the Shoreline outdoor area that recreates various waterfront terrains.
